Client rented an apartment at an apartment complex in New Jersey. During the afternoon, the client fell through a step on a stairway leading to her apartment. The step was rusted and deteriorated which caused it to give way and drop out from under her.

The client’s injuries included:

  • posterior horn tear,medial meniscus, left knee;
  • abnormal bone signal and edema, left femur and tibia;
  • back pain; and
  • depression.

Arthroscopic surgery was performed on to repair the medial meniscus tear of the left knee. The client suffered through two additional surgeries on her feet. She also endured epidural injections in her foot.

The client subsequently developed reflex sympathetic dystrophy of the left leg secondary to multiple surgeries.

The case eventually settled and the client was satisfied with the results.
